EVLVE (spoken as “Evolve”) is a free educational app for learning about cultures across the world. The app offers basic language lessons, and a community-maintained wiki (online encyclopedia) of cultural customs and fun facts for various countries.
EVLVE’s tagline is “Your Culture Almanac”, a reference to how languages and cultures are always developing over time.

I designed a brand identity that shows EVLVE as an exciting and reliable brand, with a “big, bold, and striking” type-based logo as its centerpiece.
Mobile App:
EVLVE’s mobile UI is designed to evoke vintage encyclopedias and atlases, and aims to capture the joy and wonder of exploring new places. The user experience is enhanced with fun iconography and vivid colors, keeping lessons exciting and engaging.
